    Let the present ages of 'A' and 'B' be '3x' years and '5x' years, respectively. ATQ; (5x + 8) = 3 x (3x - 2) Or, 5x + 8 = 9x - 6 Or, 4x = 14 x = 3.5 So, present age of 'A' = 3 x 3.5 = 10.5 years
