Question
Present average age of A, B and C together is 44 years.
12 years from now the age of B will be 260% more than the age of A.Four years ago from now while age of C after 12 years hence from now will be 50% more than the age of B 20 years ago from now. 4 years hence from now, what will be the ratio of ages of A and C? Desire difference.Solution
Let present age of A, B and C is a, b, and c respectively So a+b+c = 44*3= 132--------(1) And, (b+12) = 3.6*(a-4) 5b+60 = 18(a-4) 18a-5b=132---------(2) And, (c+12) = 1.5*(b-20) 3b-2c=84---------(3) Solving equation 1, 2 and 3 we get a=24, b = 60, and c = 48 Age of A, B 4 years hence now will be 28 and 52 respectively. Required ratio = 28:52 = 7:13
