ATQ, (7m+8)/(9m+8) = 9/11 ​Or, 11×(7m+8)=9×(9m+8) Or, 77m+88=81m+72 Or, 81m−77m=88−72 So, 4m = 16 So, m= (16/4) = 4 Present age of 'I' = 7m = 7 × 4 = 28 years Present age of 'J' = 9m = 9 × 4 = 36 years Required sum = (28 - 8) + (36 - 8) = 20 + 28 = 48 years
