    Let the present age of Suhana be x years Therefore, present age of Shruti = 0.8x According to the question, (x + 4)/(0.8x + 4) = 11/9 Or, 9x + 36 = 8.8x + 44 Or, 0.2x = 8 Or, x = 40 years Therefore, ratio of ages of Suhana and Shruti 4 years ago = (x – 4)/(0.8x – 4) = 36/28 = 9:7
