ATQ; {(4a + y)/(5a + y)} = {y/(y + 1)} Or, (4a + y) × (y + 1) = (5a + y) × y Or, 4ya + 4a + y 2 + y = 5ya + y2 Or, 4a + y = ya So, y = ya – 4a Or, y = a(y – 4) So, a = {y/(y – 4)} Difference between present ages of ‘Ajay’ and ‘Bishnu’ = 5a – 4a = ‘a’ years So, required value = {y/(y – 4)}
