    Let present ages of Virat and Shami be X years and Y years respectively. According to question, X = Y + 20……………………………..(1) And, (Y + 15)/(X + 15) = 2/3 3Y + 45 = 2X + 30 Putting value of X from equation (1) 3Y + 45 = 2Y + 40 + 30 Y = 25 years X = 45 years Desired Average = (25 + 45)/2 = 70/2 = 35 years
