    D is the midpoint of BC and E is the midpoint of AB. Let the BE be x cm. AB = 2BE = 2x cm AB     2x     2 BE  =  x  =  1 ∠ Bis common in both triangle. △ ABC ~ △ BDE So, Area of △ AB C  / Area of △ BD E  = AB / (BE)2 44 / Area of △ BDE = 2/(1)2 44 / Area of △ BDE = 4/(1) Area of △ BDE = 11 cm2
