The ratio of the incomes of Vineet and Vidya is 12:5 respectively. Vineet saves 25% of his income while Vidya saves 20% of his income. The sum of their expenditures is Rs.39000. Find the difference between their incomes.
Let the incomes of Vineet and Vidya be Rs. 12x and Rs. 5x respectively. According to the question, => 0.75 x 12x + 0.8 x 5x = 39000 => 9x + 4x = 39000 => x = 3000 Required difference = 12x – 5x = 7x = Rs.21000
