    Average of 8 numbers = 12 Sum of 8 numbers = 12 × 8 = 96 Now the sum of numbers added, 2, 4, 8, 16 …….. 8 terms Sum of 12 terms S₁₂ = a`xx` (rn-1))/(r-1) = 2 `xx` (28-1))/(2-1) = 2×255 = 510 New average = (96+510)/8 = 75.75
