    Let there be 4n boys and 3n  girls Total score = (4n + 3n) X = 7nX Total score of boys = 4n(X + 2) = 4nX + 8n Total score of girls = 7nX – (4nX + 8n)  = (3nX – 8n)  Average score of girls = ((3nX – 8n))/3n  =  (3X - 8)/3
