Question

    There are 4 numbers – A, B, C & D. B is 25% more than A and D is equal to average of A & C. Ratio of A to C is 3 : 4 and C is 5 more than B. Find value of {[(B - A) – (C – D)] × 18}.

    A 108 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 72 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 126 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 90 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E 100 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let A be 300x. So, B = (125/100) × 300x = 375x And, C = 300x × 4/3 = 400x Now, D = (300x  + 400x)/2 = 350x According to question, => 400x − 370x = 5 => x = 0.2 (approx.) Now, value of {[(B - A) – (C – D)] × 18} => ((375x – 300x − 400x + 350x) × 18) => 25x × 18 => 90
