    Solution

    Let fifth and sixth numbers be ‘3x’ and ‘2x’, respectively. So, 3x + 2x = 50 × 8 – 40 × 3 – 35 × 2 = 170 Or, 5x = 170 Or, x = 34 So, fifth number = 34 × 3 = 102
