    Let the speed of the stream be 'M' km/h Speed of the ferry in still water = (7M + M) = 8M km/h Downstream speed = (8M + M) = 9M km/h Upstream speed = (8M – M) = 7M km/h Acc. to the question, 32.4 = 9M × (108/60) M = 2 km/h Upstream speed = 7M = 7 × 2 = 14 km/h Distance travelled = 6.4 × 14 = 89.6 km
