    Read the following information carefully and answer the given questions: There are three shopkeepers (A, B and C) selling mangoes and bananas. Total number of fruits sold by shopkeeper A is 300. Total number of mangoes sold by shopkeeper A is 40% more than that of total number of bananas sold by the same shopkeeper. Total number of fruits sold by shopkeeper C is 180. Total number of fruits sold by shopkeeper B is 280 and number of mangoes sold are 25% less than that of number of bananas sold. Note: All the shopkeepers sold only two types of fruits i.e. Mangoes and Bananas

    If total number of fruits sold by shopkeeper D is 20 more than that of total number of bananas sold by shopkeeper A and B together. If total number of mangoes sold by shopkeeper D is 45 more than the number of bananas sold, then find the total number of mangoes sold by shopkeeper D.

    Solution

    Total number of fruits sold by shopkeeper D = 20 + (125 + 160) = 305 Total number of mangoes sold by shopkeeper D = 45 + number of bananas sold According to question, => Mangoes + Bananas = 305 ----- (i) => Mangoes - Bananas = 45 ----- (ii) Solving (i) and (ii) we get, => Mangoes = 175 Total number of mangoes sold by shopkeeper D = 175
