    difference between the ages of mother and daughter is 45 years. II. The present age of daughter is 1/4thof the present age of the mother. III.     From (II), Let the mother’s age be x and daughter’s age be (x )/4. From (I) &(II), x - (x )/4 = 45 (3x )/4 = 45 ∴x = 60 years. From (II) & (III), x + (x )/4 = 75 (5x )/4 = 75 ∴x = 60 years. From (I) & (III), x-y = 45 and x+y = 75 By solving will get the value of x i.e. the answer.
