Note: (i) Number of Cello water bottles sold is one-fourth of the number of Milton water bottles sold by each shop. (ii) Total number of water bottles sold by shop (B + C) is 250.

    The average number of Milton water bottles sold by shop

    D and E is what percentage of number of Cello water bottles sold by shop (B+C)?
    A 100% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 440% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 350% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 150% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E 280% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Percentage of total number of water bottles sold by shop B and C = [100 – (20 + 30 + 25)]% = 25% => 25% ----- 250 => 100% ------ 1000 Total number of water bottles sold by all the shops together = 1000 Number of water bottles sold by shop D = 30% of 1000 = 300 Let number of Milton water bottles sold by shop D be x. Number of Cello water bottles sold by shop D = x/4 According to the question, => x + x/4 = 300 => 5x = 1200 => x = 240 Milton water bottles sold by shop D = 240 Cello water bottles sold by shop D = 240/4 = 60 Similarly, Average number of Milton water bottles sold by shop D and E = (240 + 200)/2 = 220 Required % = (220/50) × 100 = 440%
