    Total work done by A in 1 day = 8 × 2 = 16 units. Total work done by B in 1 day = 6 × 3 = 18 units. Total work done by C in 1 day = 5 × 4 = 20 units. Total work done by D in 1 day = 7 × 2.5 = 17.5 units. Total work done by E in 1 day = 9 × 1.8 = 16.2 units. Total units per day by all workers = 16 + 18 + 20 + 17.5 + 16.2 = 87.7 units/day. Days required = 500 ÷ 87.7 ≈ 5.7 days.
