Determine the original cost price for the shopkeeper.

    Solution

    We can say that the cost price of the digital watch for a shopkeeper is Rs.'100a.' So,  (1.8 × 0.85 × 0.80 × 100a) = (2460/1.2) – 164 = 1886 122.4a = 1886 a = 15.4 So, the cost price of the digital watch for a shopkeeper = is Rs.1540.
