    Solution

    Area of the rectangular room = 22 × 16 = 352 m2 Area of each tile = 2 × 2 = 4 m2 So, number of tiles to be laid in the room = (352/4) = 88 So, total cost of all the tiles laid in the room = 88 × 100 = Rs. 8800
