    Solution

    The side of the square = 8cm and the height of the pyramid =3cm  Now the area of the base = (8) ²= 64m²  And perimeter = 4 × 8 = 32cm Slant height= l² = h² + (BC /2) ² l² = 9+16 =25 l = 5cm  The total surface area of the pyramid = (1/2× perimeter of base ×slant height) + area of base  = (½ ×32×5) +64 = 80+64 =144cm
