    Solution

    Volume of the cube = 14^3 = 2744 cubic cm. Let the rise in water level be h cm. Volume of water displaced = volume of the cube. Volume of water displaced = π * r² * h, where r = 10 cm. π * (10)^2 * h = 2744. 100π * h = 2744. h = 2744 / (100π) = 2744 / 314 ≈ 8.74 cm.
