A 78 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 141 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 105 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 150 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let the quantity of alcohol in mixture ‘P’ = 15x litres Then, quantity of water in mixture ‘P’ = 13x litres According to the question, 15x + 13x = 420 Or, x = 420/28 = 15 Total quantity of alcohol in mixture ‘Q’ = 15x + 25 = 225 + 25 = 250 litres Quantity of water in mixture ‘Q’ = 250 × (3/5) = 150 litres
