    Let the total number of students in a class be x ∴ According to the question, Number of girls = 1/3 x and number of boys = x - 1/3 x = 2/3 x Number of girls who are absent = 3/5 ×1/3 x Thus, girls present = 2/5 ×1/3 x = 2/15 x Number of boys who are absent = 1/5 ×2/3 x Thus, boys present = 4/5 ×2/3 x= 8/15 x Total present = 2/15 x+  8/15 x=  10/15 x=  2/3 x
