    Let us assume one of the numbers is 'x'

    Then, another number is = 4 × x = '4x'

    So, x × 4x = 720

    Or, 4x² = 720

    Or, x² = 180

    Or, x = 13.4 {Since the numbers are positive}

    Required difference = {4 × (13.4) - 13.4} = (53.6 - 13.4) = 40.2
