    Solution

    Ratio of profit share of ‘A’ and ‘B’ = (2000 × 12):(8 × x) Profit share of ‘A’ = 45000 – 20000 = Rs. 25,000 ATQ; {8x/(12 × 2000)} = (20000/25000) => 8x = 19200 So, x = 2400
