    Let the savings of Arun and Bhaskar be Rs. x each Therefore, expenditure of Bhaskar = Rs. 2x Or, 2x + x = 27000 Or, x = Rs. 9000 Therefore, expenditure of Arun = 2x – 5000 = Rs. 13000 Income of Arun = 13000 + 9000 = Rs. 22000
