A Rs. 24,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 26,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 37,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 44,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs. 48,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

     Let the savings of K and L be Rs. u each.  Therefore, expenditure of L = Rs. 2u.  Or, 2u + u = 57,000.  Or, u = Rs. 19,000.  Therefore, expenditure of K = 2u – 9,000 = Rs. 29,000.  Income of K = 29,000 + 19,000 = Rs. 48,000.
