    ATQ; Let the capacity of the tank be 20 litres. {LCM (10 and 20)} Efficiency of inlet pipe ‘A’ = (20/10) = 2 litres/hour Efficiency of outlet pipe ‘B’ = (20/20) = 1 litre/hour Combined efficiency of both pipes = (2 – 1) = 1 litre/hour Required time = {20 – (1 × 4)} ÷ 2 = 8 hours
