    Let the time after which Raj left the business be 'n' months.

    Ratio of profit shares of Ramesh and Raj

    = (4800 × 12) : (7200 × n)

    = 57600 : 7200n

    = 8 : n

    Now,

    8 : n = 4 : 5

    ⇒ 4n = 40

    ⇒ n = 10
