    Let the Total marks be x According to the question, 30% of x + 50 = 50% of x -30 30x/100 + 50 = 50x/100 - 30 20x/100 = 80 x = 400 Passing marks = 30% of 400 + 50 = 120 + 50 = 170 Passing Percentage = (170/400)× 100 = 42.5%
