    Sol. Let total number of students be x Total number of participating students = 70% of x Number of boys who are participating = 20% of 70% of x As per the question, number of boys = 4200 20% of 70% of x= 4200 ⇒ x =4200*100/70*100/20=30,000 Total number of students = 30,000.
