    Solution

    Expenditure of P = Rs.(10000 – 2200) = Rs.7800 New Saving = (0.7 × 10000 - 0.8 × 7800) = 7000 - 6240 = Rs.760 Decrease % in Saving = [(2200 - 760)/760] × 100 = 65%
