C Rs. 18000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 13000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs. 16500 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let the monthly salary of A be Rs. тАШxтАЩ Amount spent on food = Rs. 0.40x Amount spent on rent = Rs. 0.25x Amount received by brother = (x - 0.4x - 0.25x) x 0.44 = 0.154x So according to question: 0.25x - 0.154x = 4320 0.096x = 4320 x = 45000 So, the amount spent on food = 0.4 x 45000 = Rs. 18000
