    Let the total population of the village be 100x. And the population casted valid votes = 75x According to question, => Winning candidate A = 8/7 of B => A/B = 8/7 Now, 15 -------75x => 8 ------ 40x => 7 ------- 35x Required % = (40x/100x) x 100 = 40%
