    and the rest are girls. Out of the total number of students who appeared in the class test, 35% failed while out of the total number of boys who appeared in the test, 45% passed the test. Find the number of girls who passed the test given that all the students in the class appeared for the test.

    ATQ Number of boys in the class = 120 × 0.50 = 60 Number of girls in the class = 120 – 60 = 60 Number of students who failed in the test = 120 × 0.35 = 42 Number of students who passed the test = 120 – 42 = 78 Number of boys who passed the test = 60 × 0.45 = 27 Number of girls who passed the test = 78 – 27 = 51
