    Four friends ('P', 'Q', 'R', and 'S') went out for dinner and received a bill of Rs. 1,500. They divided it such that 'P' paid (1/4)th of what the other three paid together. 'Q' paid 10% less than the amount paid by 'P'. 'R' and 'S' paid equal amounts, which were Rs. 50 more than the amount paid by 'P'. Find the amount paid by 'Q'.

    ATQ,

    Let the amount paid by 'P' be Rs. x. Amount paid by 'Q', 'R', and 'S' together = 4x. Total amount = 5x = 1500, So, x = 300. Amount paid by 'Q' = 300 × 0.9 = Rs.270.
