    Let MP = 100x, then SP = 75x CP × (135/100) = 75x CP = 500x/9 Now, 71% of profit is given in new CP. (500x/9) × (171/100) = SP new SP = 95x Therefore, D% = (100x – 95x)/100 × 100 = 5%
