    Let, number of apples sold by B and number of apples sold by C be ‘7x’ and ‘8x’, respectively. So, 8x = 640 Or, x = 80 Number of apples sold by B = 7x = 7 × 80 = 560 Therefore, number of apples sold by A = 160% of 560 = 896
