    18 meters. If the volume of the air in the room is 4374 m³  then find the cost of painting the side walls of the room at the rate of Rs. 32 per m²

    Solution

    The volume of the air in the room = length × width × height = 27 × 18 × height = 4374 So, height of the room = 4374 ÷ (27 X 18) = 9meter So, the area of the large side of the wall = length X height = 27 X 9 = 243 m² Area of small side of the wall = 18 X 9 = 162 m² so the total area of the wall = (243×2) +(162×2)=810m² so, the cost of painting the side walls of the room=810×32=25920
