    Solution

    I. x2 – 36 = 0 x2 = 36 x = +6, -6 II. y2 - 7y + 6 = 0 y2 - 6y – y + 6 = 0 y(y – 6) – 1(y – 6) = 0 (y – 6) (y – 1) = 0 y = 6, 1 Hence, the relationship cannot be established between x and y.
