    Let the initial quantity of the solution = 100y  Sugar = 40y  Water = 60y  {40y}/{60y + 25} = 1/4 160y = 60y + 25  100y = 25  y = 0.25  Sugar = 40y = 10  Water = 60y + 25 = 40  Required ratio = (10 + 15)/{40} = 5: 8
