    Solution

    Work done by A and B together in 4 days = 4 × (1/24 + 1/18) = 4 × (7/72) = 28/72 = 7/18. Remaining work = 1 - 7/18 = 11/18. C can complete 1/12 of the work per day. Time taken by C to complete 11/18 of the work = (11/18) / (1/12) = 11/18 × 12 = 22/3 = 7.33 days.
