Each question given below contains a statement followed by quantity I and quantity II. Find both to find the relationship among them. Mark your answer according

Quantity I: There are two types of animals in a pet shop. Some are puppies and some are kittens. Each kitten takes 8 biscuits and each puppy takes 11 biscuits. If 500 biscuits were eaten by 55 animals. Find the number of puppies?

    Quantity II: A, B, C, D purchased a toffees of Rs. 56 the share of B + C + D is 460% of A and the share of A + C + D is 366.66% of B and the share of C is 40% of A + B + D. Find the share of D.

A Quantity I > Quantity II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Quantity I ≥ Quantity II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Quantity I < Quantity II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Quantity I ≤ Quantity II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Quantity I = Quantity II or No relation can be established Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Quanity I: Let number of puppies = P & number of kitten = k So P+K = 55 & 11P+8K = 500 by Solving these 2 equations, P = 20 Quanity II: A+ B+C+D = 56 --- (i) B+C+D =460% of A = 4.6A ---(ii) So from (i) & (ii), 4.6A+A = 56 or 5.6A = 56 or A = 10 A+C+D =366.66% of B = 11B/3 ---(iii)

    So from (i) & (iii), 11B/3+B = 56 or 14B/3= 56 or B = 12 C =40% of (A+B+D) or A+B+D = 100C/40 = 5C/2 ---(iv)
    So from (i) & (iv), 5C/2+C = 56 or 7C/2= 56 or C = 16
    So finally D = 56-A-B-C = 56 -10-12-16 = 56 - 38 = 18
So Quantity I > Quantity II
