    ATQ, Number of employees in IT Department = 35000 × 0.44 = 15400 Number of employees in HR Department = 35000 – 15400 = 19600 Let the number of men in HR Department = ‘x’ Then, number of women in HR Department = (x + 3400) So, x + x + 4000 = 19600 Or, 2x + 3400 = 19600 So, x = (19600 – 3400) ÷ 2 = 8100 So, number of men and women in HR Department is 8100 and 11500, respectively.
