    Let actual marks scored by A and B be 12x and 5x respectively. Difference between the marks scored by A and B = 12x – 5x = 7x According to question, => (5x + 5) × 1.2 = 12x => 6x + 6 = 12x => 6x = 6 => x = 1 Required difference = 7x = 7
