    Solution

    Let initial values of P and Q are 6n and 11n respectively. Then,
    (6n + 5): (11n - 84) = 5: 2
    12n + 10 = 55n - 420
    430 = 43n
    n = 10
    Therefore, initial sum of P and Q = 6n + 11n = 17n = 17 * 10 = 170
