    Time taken to cover 48% of total journey = (0.48 X 500) ÷ 60 = 4 hours Remaining distance = 0.52 X 500 = 260 km Remaining time = 9 - 4 = 5 hours So, 'y' = (260/5) = 52 So, required distance = (52 + 3) X 2 = 110 km
