    Let the total work = 72 units Efficiency of horse who can complete the work in 24 hours = 72/24 = 3 units/hour Efficiency of horse who can complete the work in 36 hours = 72/36 = 2 units/hour Therefore, time taken by both horses to complete the work together = 72/(3 + 2) = 13.2 hours Therefore, time taken by the elephant to complete the work = 13.2hours
