    Let the total work = 96 units {LCM of 24 and 32} Efficiency of A = 96/24 = 4 units/day Efficiency of B = 96/32 = 3 units/day According to the question; 4 × (x) + 3 × (x – 1) = (1/3) × 96 Or, 4x + 3x – 3 = 32 Or, 7x = 35 Or, x = 35/7 = 5
