    ATQ, Time taken by 'Sumit' to complete the whole job alone = 24×( 8/3) = 64 days Let the total amount of work = LCM of 64 and 16 =  64 units Efficiency of 'Sumit' =64/64 = 1 units per day Efficiency of (Sumit + Tarun) = 64/16 = 4 units per day Efficiency of 'Tarun' = 4 − 1 = 3 units per day Desired time = (0.60 × 64/3) = 12.8 days
